I have been using utorrent for some time now and have always had a problem of slow download speed. Recently i disabled my routers(Wireless Aztech 600EW) firewall(DMZ) for the static IP which my pc has been configured to. After enabling the DMZ option i was expecting a higher download spped but sadly there has been none. In the past i use to use Bitcomet but i have stopped using it as it had the same speed problem.

I have my speed set to as what CTRL+G suggests.

My Download max speed is 56KB/s

My Upload max speed is 25KB/s

Router: Aztech 600EW

ISP: Not blocking P2P

Utorrent version: 1.7.5

Firewall: Windows XP SP2 Firewall

I have already Patched the TCPIP

Operating system: Windows XP

Antivirus: NOD 32

My download speed for which there are not many seeders or peers is (average): 2KB/s

My Upload speed for which there are not many seeders or peers is (average):0.5KB/s

My download speed for popular torrents is (average): 15KB/s

My Upload speed for popular torrents is (average): 1KB/s

For OpenOffice.org, Slackware Linux, or Ubuntu Linux the download speed also: 15KB/s

Color of the network status light is: GREEN

Port checker says: OK! Port 36560 is open and accepting connections.

Thanking the utorrent team in Advance.

Actually i havent mentioned this yet but before i used the DMZ option i had portforwarded the port the speed was the same. There was no difference bweteen portforward and DMZ.

And also i know some people who are using the same router with the DMZ option but their speed is fine.

I have around five downloads(torrents) and all from different trackers and everytime i start each one of them it shows this under the tracker status and i.e tracker status is 'offline (timed out)'. Does this mean that anything is wrong from my side?
