aoao11 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Hii use utorrent 1.7.5 and i see a lot of people downloading with really high speed (400 Kbps - 500 - 300 - 200)and they have a normal DSL like the one i havebut it seems to me it's impossible to get the speed higher than 60 Kbps !!PLZ HELP PLZ HELP PLZ HELP
jewelisheaven Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Run a speed test from the Speed Guide (Ctrl-G) please ... That will tell you your maximum theoretical bandwidth in Kbps. To test your maximum sustained throughput perhaps you can run http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ . It also works to check if you followed the http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php correctly.
aoao11 Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 i did a speed testDownload Speed = 548 KbpsUpload Speed = 99 Kbpswhat is do now ? to make the downloading speed reach 200 or 300 ?!
jewelisheaven Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Setup the Speed Guide to use xx/96 and you will see you won't get over 100. uTorrent uses KiBps to measure, your ISP and the speed test are in Kbps. You can expect a maximum theoretical speed of 12 upload, of which the speed guide is setting 7 for starters. Download MAY reach near 60 on the OOo torrent. Have you tried it? If you were referring to other torrents for the 60, then you are doing over 90% efficiency for your connection, you won't be able to get much higher than that.
aoao11 Posted December 29, 2007 Author Report Posted December 29, 2007 WoW !! the download speed can't reach 10Kbps ! lolanyway thank's for the help
