nightfairy Posted January 6, 2008 Report Share Posted January 6, 2008 OK heres my problem. I installed a wireless router a few days ago and now I cant forward the port properly. I searched and found out the problem but when I try to follow the instructions on any of the guides I cant get on the internet and have to reset the routers. I have an Embarq dsl modem/router and the Linksys WRT150N V1.1. I am lost at this point. If someone could just post a dummies guide to solve this problem or walk me through this step by step in laymans terms I would be eternally grateful. Note that if you have two routers back-to-back making one "bridge mode" makes things a whole lot easier, as you essentially remove one firewall and only have to worry about "Port forwarding" or "virtual server" on one of the hardware devices.Also for troubleshooting other problems Ultima's How-To includes almost everything but the kitchen sink.
