projous
Hi community,First off I tried looking for similar threads, but came up empty handed.1 - I find when I add a new torrent to d/l, uTorrent needs to be closed and restarted to actually start the transfer, (even with uploads in progress).2 - When I try to share the 'Completed Download' folder on my home network, other computers can see them, but can copy/move/del/run/play the files. (finding I'm having to make a copy of the files into a different share folder. Leaving the original to seed)any ideas appreciatedprojous
jewelisheaven
Why do you have to restart uT? Is there an error message? You know, you should just make the sharing folder READ-ONLY (disable write or special/all access).
projous
Once I add the new torrent it just dosen't seek out peers or seeds (even it I 'force start' it)Tried read-only error msg 'you don't have the permission to blah blah blah'
AllGamer
i actually think i know why projous has that problem, i've seen it before on my own configuration.this has to do with the Available connections.projouswhat is your global configuration max connection?also how many connection have you set per connection?and for the Queue, how many active torrents?and how many active downloads? (in the settings tab, not asking about torrents)also what's the bandwidth that you set for upload (seeding), and download (leeching)?
jewelisheaven
Force Start does not affect ANYTHING regarding the swarm. Force starting tells uT to bypass your Queueing settings. If the swarm does not work STARTed, it will not work any better FORCE-STARTed. What kind of behaviour do you see for the testing torrents like OpenOffice or Slackware from the How-To? jewelisheaven
That is some nice 1 Mbit upload AllGamer, what is the procedure you need to go through at minimum to get downloads to start? Is there an error message? Does it not connect to peers? Could it be ISP mangling with tracker responses?
