Krob189 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 well my utorrent used to work fine untill i downloaded version 1.7.6its lags and freezes up on I Know its not my computer because I have no viruses and i have 2 gigs of ram and a decent processor. anyways after the download it lags when i minimize it and lags when i bring it up then the utorrent page just goes white and i have to cancel it using process manager. I dont have pg2 and i have bitlord but i used unltimate unistaller and got rid of it and all the files. and i did the port opening tutorial and followed all of the guides and opened the ports but i do the check port it says its still being blocked please help.ive turned off randamize port and disabled UPnP port maping and NAT PMP port maping its not a NAT becuase ive set it to open and when i look at the bottom of utorrent it says DHT: waiting to log inD: 0.0 Kb/s T: 0.4 KB then U: 0.0 kb T: 1.7 KB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jewelisheaven Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 When does uT freeze? How long after opening? Prior to opening uT.. or just after. Does it come back from "freezing"? how long have you waited before killing it? Can you open Process Explorer or Windows Task Manager to figure out if it's using alot of CPU or RAM and then freezing? Additionally a DLL list from process explorer (Ctrl-L, Ctrl-D, click utorrent.exe, Ctrl-A) would be useful Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Krob189 Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 its only using 5,356k memory and 00 cpu usage and i just donwgraded to version 1.6 and it hasnt fixed it ethier it freezes when i try to delete torrents that are downloading, and when I minimize it it takes atleast 2 minutes same when i try to bring it upEditnow when i start it it freezes And i have to kill it ive tried unistalling and getting different version but no luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jewelisheaven Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 Nuts! There's like nothing running and nothing injected into uT. I do know some people find that multi-core CPUs for some reason misbehave... can you try going to Windows Task Manager and right clicking utorrent.exe and select affinity for each of your processor's cores?? :/ That's my only idea right now.
