jmcbubbles
Hi there, I've been using uTorrent for months now with absolutely no problems, until today. I was going away for the weekend on Friday, so I switched my laptop off. When I came back this morning I switched it back on and opened uTorrent, but now all I see is 0(0) seeds and peers, and those red arrows which are supposed to indicate that there's something wrong with the tracker - the tracker information says "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"I'm using V1.7.6 and didn't upgrade or anything recently - just switched the PC off for a couple of days...Any ideas how I can get this back up and running? I'd appreciate any help...
Ultima
It may well be a tracker-specific issue... how does a torrent from here run?
jmcbubbles
Already tried OO earlier and again now, but no joy, it goes straight to the red arrow with the same "actively refused" error. I tried randomizing the port number, disabling DHT (saw these suggestions in other posts) but still nothing. Any other things I could be trying? I don't think I have any firewall running either - I used to have Outpost but it used to cause problems downloading so I don't use it anymore. Ultima
O.oIf you're using a firewall, try removing the rules for µTorrent and recreating them.
jmcbubbles
I switched the Windows firewall off altogether but it's still not working. I don't know how to check if there is another firewall running?
Ultima
Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.

jewelisheaven
Err.. Outpost update itself? I don't see anything odd there except duplicate copy-paste
Ultima
Outpost is still resident. If you "turn it off," then I suppose that means you don't use/need it anymore? If so, you're probably going to need to uninstall it to make it stop blocking connections on your computer.
jmcbubbles
I just uninstalled Outpost and uTorrent is working now yay!! Thank you so much for your help
