Michaeljcox24
Just upgraded my machine over the weekend, with a new asus mobo that runs the nforce chipset. I am behind a router, and thus have windows firewall turned off. However, utorrent is telling me I am also behind the 'nvidia firewall', which to be quite honest, I have no idea how to turn off. Any idea? It seems to be affecting my seeding and d/l's quite significantly...
jewelisheaven
There's an entry under http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software for the firewall. Report back if that doesn't help
Michaeljcox24
I uninstalled the nvidia network access manager, and rebooted the machine. Now, when I start utorrent, I don't get the warning message. I'm getting downloads at 70kb/s so it seems to have done the trick. I don't know if its caused any problems though, only time will tell. jewelisheaven
Indeed, depending upon your result, that 70KiBps is equal to a 560Kbps speedtest. To see if you can get higher, check out the OOo torrent from http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ while not running any other traffic.
