Darce
Hi guys. I might be retarded, stupid or spastic, but I've read the RSS tut and still cant get any hits under the releases tab. Am using http://www.torrentportal.com/rssfeed.0.xml. Its a valid address and checks out OK on the WC3 feed validation site. When I hit the update button, it says downloading for a minute or two and then starts the timer for the next update which I assume is normal. Using uTorrent 1.7.7. Have tried with both no filter and filter ( *DVD* ). Have checked through the forums and havn't been able to find anyone that cant get at least a few hits. What have I screwed up ? Does port forwarding need to be enabled properly for RSS to work ? I'm on the wrong side of a crappy ass wireless bridge so it's not an option, although I still get descent DL speeds. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.Have just found :[09:01:07] RSS: Unable to download "Torrent Portal All|http://www.torrentportal.com/rssfeed.php": offline (timed out)under the logger tab. Have also tried feeds from mininova and thepiratebay with the same result. Pages seems to load up OK in a browser window.OK. Problem solved ! Updated to uTorrent 1.8 latest beta and RSS works fine !!Magic
jewelisheaven
Usually with RSS as with most peer communication half-open connections are usually to blame. How do you like the new 1.8 interface?
Darce
Cool. I like not having to scroll at the bottom tabs to get info and the easier access to RSS
