utorrent and vista

hi, i recently bought a laptop with vista home pre-loaded i use utorrent on my "XP" home computer no problem but cant get Vista to open a port, 've looked at portforward.com but most of the help is relating to the use of routers. I use a USB "mobile" modem so as to be able to get on-line whenever required. Any assistance you can give would be well appreciated.......

just make sure you have "upnp" enabled in the UTorrent prefrences under "connection",

If you've got your mobile card like biddy79uk says, you would probably need to rely on UPnP or not.. to get to use torrents wherever you are. :/ It's not the greatest option, but as long as you configure your uT so it won't overload connections... I'd think xx/256 should suffice for most connections. Is there a primary wifi network you use (say at your residence) where you could test the settings before you go mobile
