Lower Pane of utorrent window will not open up as shown in picture

I am using utorrent 1.7.7.

My problem is that I cannot get the lower pane of the utorrent window to open up, as it is in the images displayed on the utorrent home page.

I have tried it on 3 PCs with the same result, that when I go to look at the peers list, I only get a very small window and have to scroll up and down, The same thing happens when I wish to view the files in the torrent, I can only see the first three of four, and have to scroll the window to see the rest.

I am using a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 with AGP or PCIE graphics cards.

Is there some setting that I haven't found in the options?
