uploading & downloading when torrents are paused

Hi all,can anyone tell me why on the bottom of my utorrent client does it say i am downloading and uploading when my torrents are all paused ,it only says d:2.3kB/s T:3.7 MB and U:2.2 kB/s T:5.2 MB at the time of writing this,just a little confused

Could be lots of stuff.. overhead from peers / trackers / rss / dht to name off the top of my head.

The difference between pausing and stopping a torrent is uT tries to maintain connections to peers while paused, but being un-interested... so that you can resume a torrent from current, without having to re-announce or connect yourself to the swarm.
