Sharing works only sometimes

I recently downloaded 3 files.

One was never shared during the downloading and the ratio remains at 0.00

One was shared and the ratio is .049 and has stopped sharing.

The other is currently still downloading and sharing with a ratio of .253.

I don't understand why one file was downloaded and never shared, one was but no more, while the other is still sharing.

All defaults are the same I believe. I've gone thru the help files but as I am still new at this, I'm still trying to figure it all out. (the next big adventure will be converting audio files to mp3's I guess).

You only upload on torrents where there are peers downloading from you.
