dangerousns
Hi, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with utorrent 1.7.7. I have not forwarded my ports because I cannot forward my ports as I am at a university. My upload speeds can hit over 200KB/s in bitcomet, but I can barely ever hit 30KB/s with the same torrents in utorrent. I have some suspicions that this is because bitcomet may be forcing connections with leechers since I set my minimum upload speed to 150KB/s, but to be honest, I have no idea how explain it. In both clients, I can max my download speed at over 700KB/s...Any advice? Maybe changing a setting in utorrent?
jewelisheaven
Encryption in the Speed Guide... or Ctrl-P -> BitTorrent. You can try using FORCED and dis-allowing legacy (unencrypted) connections. You can only upload as fast as the peers you're downloading are. BitComet masks seeding as HTTP traffic in many cases, so it's not un-expected that you can consistently overcome blocks designed for bittorrent traffic.
