Glynbo
Hi Last year i got windows vista. I updated my utorrent and it would not work anymore so i went back to a previous version.I achieved really big download speeds. The other day my Norton security ran out so i updated to Norton 360Now the speeds are really low and the speed giude says my port does not seem to be open.I then updated my Utorrent to the latest version to see if it would work. It did not.I tried turning off Norton 360 but it stays the same. What changed?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thankyou for your timeGlyn
DreadWingKnight
Did you try temporarily uninstalling norton?
Glynbo
No. Just turning everything off.But it only changed once i changed from Norton Security to 360I was hoping something simple would solve the problem. I don't want to lose 360 as we just paid 40 or 50 pounds for it lolBtw, speedy reply and thanks.
DreadWingKnight
Turning off isn't enough with most internet security packages unfortunately. They hook a bit too deep.

DreadWingKnight
Unless removing and re-creating all rules for uTorrent in norton works, yes.

DreadWingKnight
Nope, I don't use norton because I feel it's a bloated piece of junk.
Glynbo
Not to be deterred by this bad news, i messed about with settings on Norton and Utorrent. I don't know what i did exactly but i re-started Utorrent and the port is now open and my download speeds are back up
