Chaplipman
Hello there, new poster here. I recently noticed that two of my files that I was seeding had gotten the "Error:cyclic redundancy check" message in their status bars. I understand this usually means hard drive error. I did a CHKDSK and backed up all of my important data. Then I did a force recheck on the files under question of having bad sectors and they still reported file errors, but when I checked the files they worked just fine without a problem. So I have two questions; Why am I getting errors on files that work fine? Also, how do I check files that I am no longed seeding for bad data as well? These are very important files that I worked very hard to obtain. Thank you guys.:]
DreadWingKnight
Why am I getting errors on files that work fine?Because they're damaged. Even though they work right, they can still be damaged. Also, how do I check files that I am no longed seeding for bad data as well?Stop the torrent and force a re-check. Chaplipman
Thanks, but I was talking about files that I have removed from Utorrent. How do I check to see that they're not damaged?
DreadWingKnight
Re-add them to uTorrent following the migration guide.
