thedungeonkids
Hey Everyone, first post. This ones about knowing relatively nothing about web ui. My most important question is: Is there a site I need to access in order for me to control utorrent away from home? It feels like the answer is yes. If it is yes, could someone please tell me the address of the site? I'm fairly naive to this, so the past 15 minutes or so have been frustrating. I pretty much at a loss of what to do. If someone could help point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks everybody.
jewelisheaven
When you downloaded the WebUI it came with a readme file. You should read through that. One thing to note, if you don't have your uTorrent correctly forwarded (Green checkmark network status icon) you will be very unlikely to get WebUI to work.If after that, you want a starting point, use the USERNAME and PASSWORD from your Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> WebUI settings and PORT from the Ctrl-G speed guide in uT on this URL (from your computer). http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@LOCALHOST:PORT/gui/It should pop up the webui. If even this does not work you have a problem.
thedungeonkids
Wow OK, Thanks for the address. It still doesn't work. I get a blank white page But at least now I know where to start and TO search the board for "the plain white screen" problem.heh. Thanks again for the help. you cleared up a lot of shit. jewelisheaven
Well indeed. That problem is very common. And in uT's logger tab you can verify by checking if it says "unable to find webui.zip" If you have questions after you've tried the readme, feel free to report your progress below.
