No torrents downloading for me, please help

I have downloaded many a torrent using µTorrent before without a glitch. Today, after not using it for a few weeks I went to download a few but in the Status column it says 'downloading', but nothing is happening. I know of no setting I have changed since using it successfully, other that adding a file backup program that automatically backs up my data files to an XHD.

The download symbol on the left is red too.

I do know some stuff about computers, but am far from a whiz. Where should I start looking to find the problem.

If it says downloading, it is trying to download. The red torrent status icon refers to http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_do_the_red_icons_mean_on_the_torrent_status_icons.3F

What is the Tracker Status? Is DHT enabled on that torrent? (Check from right click, properties)

The tracker status doesn't say "downloading". If you are not connecting to any peers, that's why nothing is happening.

How does a torrent from http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ work?

'DHT Enabled' is not checked, nor am I able to check that box. Only the 'Initial Seeding' under the 'Other Setting' Heading in Properties is enabled, though not checked either.

I am a bit confused with that last link as to what torrent I am to try using.

That means the torrent is private, and your tracker is giving you an error. Looking at the error message would help figure out what's wrong more.

The last link is the OpenOffice download page. Download one of the torrents and load it. This is a test to see if it's your connection with a general connectivity problem or if the problem you're having with the "error" tracker status is specific to that torrent.

The red status icon is indicative of an error message in "Tracker Status" in the General tab.

@walks, try the openoffice torrent and right click copy the tracker status response for that tracker and paste in here please. You're not helping troubleshoot by repeating your previous statements.

I have the same problem, the openoffice torrent gives a tracker status of "offline (timed out)" message

This is what im gettin under the tracker for that openoffice torrent

ive tired to download other torrents as welll and they arent working any help be good

and they all say they are downloading but i have no download speed under the General tab

Two torrents finally downloaded, but the rest sit with a red download symbol. I can find no error in the General tab under Properties.

I also ran HiJack This, and do not understand what it all means. I do recognize a bunch of the programs it refers to though.
