SkieDlink
I'm running Nortons Internet Security 2005.I have no problems with Utorrent as I get a green signal with my networks etc.But when I shut down Utorrents to close my PC down, 100's of messages come up from Nortons warning me of a Program Control of a Medium risk to my IP and port assigned "Block or Permit" etc.How can I stop these 100's of warnings coming up.Thanks
jewelisheaven
You leave uT running? Once you join a swarm the connection information stays around for all peers in that swarm until it times out.
SkieDlink
Ok, thanks for that. But I don't leave my PC on as a safety issue when not in use.Is there anyway to adjust the timeouts to resolve this. Thanks again
Ultima
No, you can't tell other peers' computers to stop attempting to connect to you. The best you can do is *wait* for it to subside. To shorten the wait time, you'll probably have to disable DHT (though it won't prevent it -- nothing will besides just not using BitTorrent).
