Created Torrent will not seed

I created a torrent using v1.7.7. When I created it I used the "Add Directory" rather than "Add File" Now when I add the torrent for Seeding, it attamts to download rather than seed. I have tried forcing a re-check, without result.

At first I thought the problem was with the location of the created torrent, in my default directory, rathar than in the directory where the data resides. I tried moving it to the directory where the data resides, with the same result.

Can anyone help? I am not sure where I am going wrong.

If it sees the files, it should start checking... Are you sure your "Save As" on the General tab is where you saved it? You don't need to move the data, simply STOP, right click, advanced, set download location... and browse to the folder, click it, say OK, and start. That should trigger the Checking procedure.
