franklin
Currently, the µTorrent shortcut is added to DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\USER\Start Menu. As a result, the shortcut is located at the top of the Start Menu. This behavior is very unusual and I don't like it. I think the installer should place the shortcut in DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\USER\Start Menu\Programs, like other programs.
jewelisheaven
:/ It doesn't have a subdirectory though, it's just a shortcut. Have you tried 1.8 to see if this is still the case?
franklin
Tried in both 1.7.7 and 1.8.9704, same behavior.I know that that is a shortcut only, but it should be put in the program folder.

zinnium
I'm running Vista and it doesn't seem to do it. I had a similar problem on my moms laptop with other programs before and she is running "windows xp pro media center", It was over a year ago, but it had something to do with the admin account and my baby sister. zinnium
try installing something else... like something small and see if it does it again, then you may want to look at your windows setup.... that is odd, but I Just remember she did something dumb that was causing it... she also turned off plug and play, and some how got the system to completely refusing pdf files, that was fun.
