shaon123456
Hi guys, I don't exactly understand what is a safe number of hash fails. Currently my torrent has 7 hash fails (28.00 mb) with about 1.36 gigs downloaded. Frankly, my worry is that will it ruin the final product once it is done, or should I not be worried about hash fails destroying the end product? I'm completely new to this technology, and all I know about hash fails, is that somebody is sending me corrupt data.
jewelisheaven
Hash fails are data which does not equal the integrity check done on each piece. 7 is OK for a swarm, you likely have a low bandwidth peer which happens to put out data every once in a while. http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_does_Wasted_and_hashfails_mean.3FHashfails don't affect your torrent, as the data is immediately redownloaded. If you find you have alot of hashfails you may have a problem on your end... and if you want to reduce hashfail downloaded data, check out 1.8. http://utorrent.com/download.php
