Uninstall uTorrent

How do I uninstall uTorrent? I deleted the file uTorrent from %Applica% yet the icon remains and it opens when I click on it. I am reverting to version 1.7. my download speed never exceeds 1.5kb. I spent two hours reading and working through the settings, my ISP is not throttling the download rate.

Uninstall instructions would be appreciated.

Tried this an hour ago - OpenOffice creeped in at 1.5kb/ the same as everything else? If you have any other suggestions I will do them.

Could you post a HijackThis log?

What firewall do you use? Do you use NOD32?

I do not know how to post or what a Hijack This log is. I am not using NOD32. uTorrent 1.7 worked like a champ. Am I giving up to soon? If not, do you know of a removal tool?

I deleted uTorrent 1.8 and went back to 1.7. Now 1.7 will not download any faster that 1.5kb. OpenOffice.org will open uTorrent and then the program is just open nothing happens and OpenOffice appears nowhere in the uTorrent screen....same as with v1.8.

This morning v 1.7 was downloading like a champ tonight neither version will complete a download in less than a day+ at 1.5kb/.

Go back to 1.8. Go to %AppData%\uTorrent and delete the settings.dat and .old and resume.dat and .old. Start it again. Follow the Setup Guide.

Also, I'd recommend ditching Symantec and trying something like AVG or Antivir. It's an awful, awful AV with very poor detection rates. I've personally worked on tons of systems filled with malware that Norton completely missed.
