How do I resume partial downloads after opening full torrent?

I had a partial download of files going previously and my external HD got disconnected, I opened the old .torrent file and forgot to check certain files to get the partial , so it was marked as all files download. Is there a way to get it to download only the partial files like I had previously without starting all over again?
