Ultima Posted August 23, 2008 Report Share Posted August 23, 2008 Just because a peer might have corrupt data for one torrent doesn't mean the peer will have corrupt data for all torrents. If you notice a pattern in the IP range sending lots of hashfailed pieces, then ban the range using ipfilter.dat. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The entire network gradually gets banned without your knowledge just because each peer happened to have sent a few bad pieces to you on a particular torrent, and you forgot to pay attention to the perm-ban list?If the user needs perm-ban, it'll have to be a conscious decision on their part.
