goingbananas
Okay, so this is something that has been annonying me for a long time.As you can see, my client see´s a lot of more peers, some even with 100%, but WHY doesnt it download from them?My only guess would be that their clients "max upload slots" has been reached? thelittlefire
You need to be interested and not choked http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_do_all_those_flags_in_the_Flags_column_mean.3F to download from people. If you right click the column headers, enable "Relevance", you see how much of the torrent THAT peer has that you don't.
goingbananas
Thnx for the fast answer.Added the "relevance" column, and as I only have around 5% done, almost all peers have a relevance of >0.The problem however, is that all peers that I dont download from has this flag:"d = Your client wants to download, but peer doesn't want to send (interested and choked) "So yet again, why? Is this b.c their max upload slots has been reached?and also, many peers have the:u = Peer wants your client to upload, but your client doesn't want to (interested and choked) and why is that?I set my max connections to 500, max uploads to 500, max per torrent to 500...What to do?and also, Im on 10/10mbit so no problem there... thelittlefire
... actually BIG problem. Use the presets please as a baseline. Or if they cause troubles at least glance over Switeck's numbers @ http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=34259D means they're sending yup, and a common reason for d is no more slots and U means you're uploading, and u means the reverse is true from above, YOU are the one without any more slots. goingbananas
yeah, but since I only have 1 torrent active, and I maxed out the setting to 500 just for testing (to make sure thats not the problem), the question remains...Why does my utorrent report that is doesnt want to send data to interested peers? That makes no sense..thnx for the input, have to go, bbl! thelittlefire
OK, sorry yes, as a test, theoretically you have those 500 slots to use to upload to people. On THEIR end the same would need to be true 1) you need to have something they want and tell YOU they are interested (the first part). Many times people set their uploads too low on too many peer connections and they see lots of K peers, which is also bad.
Switeck
You're not uploading to a lot of peers at once for the same reason.Internet networking cannot handle everything happening at the same instant.Better and quicker to upload in bursts to different peers. The faster your connection, the longer the bursts...and to more peers at once.
