File is being used by another process

I've suddenly started getting this message after nearly a year of using uTorrent with no incidents. I don't know what's causing it or how it can be stopped.

I've seen that others with this problem need to post a HijackThis log, so I'll do the same, and then in my next message will post Process explorer info.

... So basically, you didn't do anything about the applications DWK mentioned. Google Desktop's indexer locks files, as does Nero Scout. Unless you disable them, place an exception on µTorrent's download/upload directories, or uninstall the applications, there's nothing else to be done about the error.

I said I was going to post the 2 logs for Hijack This and Process Explorer. That's what I'd done so far. DWK posted his reply while I was going to do the Process Explorer log.

What I did do was go into the Google Desktop prefs and disable indexing of new files, which had gotten switched on somehow -- not actively by me, that's for sure. Anyway, it is off now.

As for Nero, I'm not sure what to do with it exactly. Go into prefs and shut off indexing?

I have a feeling the Google tweak did it, the message hasn't reappeared, where it normally would be popping up every 20 minutes or so.

Last thing: when I attempted to post earlier about what I'd done with Google, this forum wouldn't allow me to -- it was giving me a message that said I couldn't double-post. I'm now going to hit the submit button and see if it works this time.

OK I never did figure out what to do about Nero but don't think it matters since the problem went away after I unchecked the indexing in Google Desktop.

To stop Nero Scout, just go to Start->Programs->Nero 8->Nero Toolkit->Nero Scout, and then a configuration window appears, you can uncheck "Enable Nero Scout"

that worked for me!
