quin
Hi there,I have come to realise that with some torrents, dispite being completely different with different files; if they happen to be downloding to a directory with the same name (e.g. video_ts) and same file names (which DVD structures all have) uTorrent doesn't let you know that there's already a file with that name, and proceeds to merge the data of multiple torrents, resulting in corrupt files without it even knowing. I've had to remove several torrents and start all over again. Is there a way to get utorrent to check if a directory already exists? And is there a way to specify the directory location for each individual torrent with the software? It's v0.361 I'm using. Thanks
thelittlefire
WebUI currently doesn't check pathing, because no mechanism exists in the backend for it.
quin
ok thanks. how about manually setting a path on the server for each individual torrent to avoid this corruption before downloading. Is that possible?I've looked through properties/settings but not spotted anything
Lord Alderaan
Sadly the webui cannot manually set a path for the torrent at this time. I think I heard somewhere that it is planned but there is a lot to consider (security for one. You'd have to block things like c:\windows etc to prevent abuse or stupidity).tbh I think a collision detection system is more likely to happen on short term then a webui 'add-torrent and save at this path' action.
