chuckle1
OK i have just updated µtorrent to 1.4 i've used the speed guide, fine, when i test my port the portforward site tells me its not open so i follow the guide(sygate) to the letter and test it again still ERROR but on the sites i visit i am connectable and i have network ok in µt. Is this a problem with the portforward site or is it µt. I've noticed in sygate that µt is using ports other than the one i've specified, can anyone help me out here? Firon
NTL puts you behind a proxy for HTTP communication (which may include many trackers). You may need to find your actual WAN IP and put it in "IP to report to tracker" for best results, although most trackers can probably figure out your IP because the proxy NTL uses reports X-Forwarded-For with your real IP.http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#My_firewall_is_reporting_connections_being_made_by_.C2.B5Torrent_on_a_port_besides_the_one_I_selected._What_gives.3F

Firon
The µTorrent NAT checker should detect that you're behind a proxy now and tell you. Try it and see.

alcaholjunkie
Anyone else on NTL find that they are not behind a proxy for port 80 (HTTP) anymore? or is it just me? Though the NTL cache servers (Proxies) are still there, and they are usable if you manually put one of the addresses in
acidfnord
Alcaholjunkie - I'm on NTL and something weird's happened between the NY and 11 Jan - during which I was without PC. Reinstalled on a new system and - bang - download speeds are a 10th of what they were.Even with all firewalls down, it's impossible to get a decent speed, see my post here:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=41885#p41885Cheers for any help!
