CrashMoreUT
Hey guys, Uber new to this forum community..So here is my issue...For awhile I couldn't Right Click any of my programs without causing my Windows Explorer to stop working. Going online and Googling a fix, I found that my errors were the cause of a bad Shell Extension file, so I downloaded, ShellViewEx, and disabled the Erroneous Shell file.. However, I believe, not entirely sure, that it was since this repair that it hasn't worked. Now, when I go to use uT 1.8.1. I get "uTorrent has crashed. A crash dump has been saved as: C:\Program Files\uTorrent\12639-utorrent.80b5.dmp" I've used uTorrent for a long time... and this is the first time I've ever had troubles with it.I'm running Vista Home Prem. 32 bit OEM.But this doesn't just reside with uT trying to download BitTorrent and use that as a substitute, it too crashes or doesn't load period. This is really frustrating and I'd loveeee some feed back, apologies in advance for any uBer newbness.***Yes, I've restartedYes, I've ReinstalledYes, I've system restoredYes, I have AVG 8.0, Spybot S&D, AdawareYes it's killing me softlyAnd Yes, I have Admin

CrashMoreUT
Definately not Reinstalling Windows without my proper gear from home... The most info on how to correct this would be great. Also... after repeated uninstall-reinstalls, it will work, but only for a bit, before it crash dumps on my arse again...Here's my logLogfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 6:23:07 PM, on 26/10/2008Platform: Windows Vista SP1 (WinNT 6.00.1905)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6001.18000)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exeC:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exeC:\Windows\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\ASUS\ASUS Live Update\ALU.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exeC:\Windows\RtHDVCpl.exeC:\Program Files\Motorola\SMSERIAL\sm56hlpr.exeC:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exeC:\Program Files\PowerForPhone\PowerForPhone\PowerForPhone.exeC:\Program Files\Unlocker\UnlockerAssistant.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\jusched.exeC:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\3.2\Apps\apdproxy.exeC:\Program Files\D-Link\RangeBooster G WUA-2340\AirPlusCFG.exeC:\Program Files\ANI\ANIWZCS2 Service\WZCSLDR2.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\PIF\{B8E1DD85-8582-4c61-B58F-2F227FCA9A08}\PIFSvc.exeC:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgtray.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exeC:\Windows\ehome\ehtray.exeC:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\1.2.1128.5462\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exeC:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exeC:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnscfg.exeC:\Windows\ehome\ehmsas.exeC:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exeC:\Program Files\ASUS\Asus MultiFrame\MultiFrame.exeC:\Program Files\Uniblue\RegistryBooster 2\RegistryBooster.exeC:\Windows\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exeC:\Windows\SYSTEM32\WISPTIS.EXEC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLLoginProxy.exeC:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeC:\Windows\system32\SearchFilterHost.exeR1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.localR0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Firon
Try removing the Registry Booster app. You may even wanna try removing AVG...It's possible that your shell extension isn't really disabled. Might have to find another way to remove it.
CrashMoreUT
Well I did deal with the Shell Extension, however, this uTorrent probelm only recently has happened, and both programs I've had running for upwards of a year on this computer.I used ShellExView and disabled a CmdLineContextMenu, which allowed me to right click my programs again, I'm just confused with the whole crash dumping bs... like it hasn't ever happened before. I tried opening it with Admin, and it would work, then crash. Then crash repeditly after that until another reinstall. Registry Booster, as cumbersome as it is, doesn't really do a lot, and 9/10 times, I don't have it on. Regardess of it's .dll. I doubt removing AVG would really deal with this, but I'll give it a shot.****Removed AVG, left standing, restarted, attempted to open uTorrent... Gave me the big F! U!... Crash Dump Galore...Re-installed AVGTried uTorrent again.. and yeah.. you get the deal... This is like day 6 of this btw. And I appreciate the help thus far

Firon
The crash appears to be related to this file: C:\Program Files\ASUS\Asus MultiFrame\HookTitle.dllTry removing that ASUS software and give it a shot.
CrashMoreUT
/killself... @TLF -I am using a LAN network 9 out of 10 times, so DLink wouldn't be an issue, and I don't have it running most of the time, its mainly for my home get up@Firon -Yeah... it didn't work... I got rid of the Multiframe, but you probably need to know that I'm Using an ASUS G1S, so I have a lot of software like that on here. Multiframe was on this before and it really never hurt it before... Bahh.. This is so stumping its retarded.Would changes to themes or uxtheme.dll, shsvcs.dll and themeui.dll cause interference with uT? I doubt it would but meebe..This time a crash wouldn't generate... Here is the new dump... perhaps it will provide some incite...
