ile
I understand that I need to copy settings.dat and resume.dat to Vista's AppData directory. There is just one problem:When I boot to XP, the volume where the torrents are is named "C:". When I boot to Vista, that same disk is now named as "D:". Simply copying the .dat files isn't enough as the drive letters are different when booted to another OS.How to solve this? Thanks.
Lord Alderaan
I don't think you can unless you use relative paths.
Ultima
Assuming you keep the paths exactly the same, besides the drive, you can always use BEncode Editor to perform a mass search/replace on C:\, changing it to D:\.
ile
Yes the paths are the same otherwise.I was thinking that if the torrent/data file isn't found, maybe there could be a feature to relocate it?

Lord Alderaan
He'd have to do it at each boot-up though... kinda complicated.[edit]Oh the topic sounds like he's moving over. From the post itself I concluded he was multi-booting.
ile
Actually I'm multi booting, at least now, so yes I guess it would get complicated. The .dat files would need to copy & edit a lot if I'm using uTorrent on both. Not sure how long I will be multibooting though. Tough situation to solve anyway...
