Fair
When I recheck a torrent which includes a file which is currently selected in an explorer window, the file only re-checks to about 99.9%.The solution is to not have any explorer windows open in the torrent's folder when the re-check is performed.A similar problem happens when deleting a torrent and its data - the files selected in explorer windows don't delete. Is there no way utorrent can "steal" files from explorer? I guess it sets a bit in the file header when it selects it or something. Or is there a reg key I can edit to prevent this? I've just searched google for 'prevent explorer locking files' etc but to no avail.
Firon
If there's a thumbs.db in the torrent and the folder, explorer will update that and screw up the data.
Fair
In this case the problem doesn't depend on the thumbs file in either the torrent or on the disk.

Now you mention it, I totally forgot about the video preview, that could be it...I'll get back to this thread with the results once I figure out how to uninstall the preview.
