monip
HeySo I'm new using Mac and utorrent, I've never downloaded anything with .torrent files so I'm pretty bad with those things and I was just wondering if to install utorrent I have to do something else than just sliding the icon into the application folder, isn't there also like a process that has to be done?? Thanks
thelittlefire
As with most mac apps, drag to applications. Then you just load up the torrent through click-drag or default-application.http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php should help explain some things regarding what to do for best speeds... monip
Ok so after I drag it to applications I just have to click on the icon to open it and that would be it? Cause the first time that was what I did and when I shut down my computer it quit and when I started it again today and opened it the file I was downloading had stopped and I couldn't start downloading it again. Is that because of the speed thing?
thelittlefire
What did it say in Activity on the General page, when you selected the torrent?? When it stops sometimes you can just START, or right click, force recheck, then START it.
NoOneButMe
Are you on Leopard or Tiger? Cause uTorrent isn't supported on Tiger. And if it crashed your computer on Leopard, you've found a bug.

adiscoo
why is this not supported on tiger? that kind of sucks :S is it allways going to be like this or is it an tiger version comming?
NoOneButMe
It's not supported on tiger quite yet because some of the things done for the UI don't exist on Tiger and are Leopard Only (blame apple for this).Tiger support is planned down the line. No ETA's though.
