Millie!
Recently when I open Utorrent, my download speed shoots up and then crashes and stays at 0-1kb/s, which also stops my access to the internet on firefox as well. As soon as I exit Utorrent it starts to work again.Part of my security log:01/30/2009 13:00:19 **UDP Flood Stop** (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:18 **UDP flood** 123.211.55.86, 52524->> 81.109.232.234, 27252 (from WAN Inbound)01/30/2009 13:00:18 **UDP flood** 78.36.241.82, 20567->> 192.168.2.10, 17444 (from WAN Inbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 79.102.84.15, 18768 (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 198.54.202.234, 60631 (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 88.149.121.212, 8823 (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 156.34.192.103, 51397 (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 213.73.179.29, 21680 (from WAN Outbound)01/30/2009 13:00:16 **UDP flood** 192.168.2.10, 17444->> 94.70.227.11, 0 (from WAN Outbound)I've had a look at some other threads but didn't really understand a lot of it. I've disabled UPNP, NAT-PNP, DHT and local peer discovery, however it's still not working properly. Also I read about IP-resolve but couldn't find this option?I read on here that you should change the ping detection on the router so I disabled ICMP ping - as this was the only feature that seemed similar! Also even before this was happening, the speed of my downloads used to fluctuate - it would drop to 0 and then go back up every so often and my internet wouldn't work when that happened.Sorry for being pretty clueless - I appreciate your help. moogly
IP resolving is in Peer tab: right click and disable it.
Switeck
1st and 2nd links in my signature...for troubleshooting and speed settings. If you've set uTorrent's settings too high, the resulting overloads can mimic firewalled conditions.
