dismas
I'm using uTorrent in my college dorm. I can't forward ports on this connection. However, uTorrent still works. I'm curious as to how this is possible since I didn't forward any ports, and if I could exploit this fact to increase uTorrent's speed. I am using Windows Vista. My computer is plugged directly into the wall (I'm not using a router).
moogly
Has uT the green circle? If it's the orange triangle, you are surely firewalled.
Switeck
You can connect to websites ok?uTorrent being firewalled works the same way -- any peers and seeds that aren't firewalled, you should be able to connect to.
