gandiya
I have a very strange problem on my PC.All of a sudden some of my completed downloads are shown as incomplete in utorrent.I tested out some video files, supposedly incomplete according to the 'utorrent flash'and found them to be perfectly all right thanks to the info given by G-spot and the fact that they played back without any problems! But yet utorrent proceeds to download the so called corrupt sections! It is bloody confusing!
DreadWingKnight
Because uTorrent's validation is based on piece hashing, coupled with how forgiving some codecs are, uTorrent's "incomplete file" status should be considered authoritative. gandiya
Wow! that was super fast! Thanks! So should I redownload the parts or rely on the latitude provided by the codecs to get error free recording of data?
DreadWingKnight
I would re-download the damaged parts, since your playback probably isn't 100% error-free.
gandiya
Very strange! really strange! roflmao! utorrent says that one of the mp3 s of an album has not been downloaded at all ie. 0 Bytes, but to my relief that file is physically present on my hard disk and is playing back fine! Even windows media player can play it wo problems![now ! wmp is not so forgiving!]

DreadWingKnight
Some media players and indexers re-tag mp3 files silently, corrupting them as far as uTorrent is concerned, but doesn't affect playback.
