cococha Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 I'm running uTorrent 1.8.2 on my notebook Toshiba with Windows XP SP2 up to date, firewalls ports is correctly open on Window's Firewall and router, that is at the office and house. Two weeks ago I start to download a torrent and never achieve to download more than 15-20 KB/s (normally 15), the internet connection is 640 kb at office and 1024 kb at home.I also read this forum about to posible ISP' limitation, run the suggested test and all is ok.Will somebody have some idea to solve this?
jewelisheaven Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 You could start off by trying http://slackware.com/torrents/ as-is with no changes. See if it's simply the peers. After that, you should check through the forum with keywords including your ISP and the model/make of your router if others have the same issue(at home-- the office, is likely running network management software so 20/80 KiBps isn't too bad, especially if there's alot of people who work with you).
