blesslisam
I am a total newbie at torrents. I downloaded a torrent and can neither move the downloaded file to my desktop nor, when I right click, will the scan with AVG appear. I want to scan it before I open it. How can I do this? PS--I looked for threads and didn't see any. Sorry if I missed them!
jewelisheaven
AVG is a normal context menu item? Can you open the AVG control application (from the system tray) and tell it to scan the file that way?
blesslisam
Never mind! I said I was a newbie! Now I see the file was depoisted in a folder on my desktop (I probably chose that, I don't even remember!). So that I can scan.
jewelisheaven
If you want more info on bittorrent and using uT in general check out http://utorrent.com/documentation/ and press F1 in uT's window to learn about the interface and features Edit: One feature you may find useful... so you KNOW where data will be you can setup a default folder for data. The DEFAULT default is under %MY DOcuments%\Downloads but you can change that to your desktop if you wish.
blesslisam
Thanks so much for all your help! And for taking the time to answer--most appreciated! I'll take a look at the site. It's all beyond me at this point....But. I must say. My downloaded file scaned, was free of anything icky and works like a dream. So I like torrents!
