Cracked_Tech
Alright I just downloaded this and I can't get it to run. I run the exe and it asks me about the shortcuts, I say yes and it makes them and then does nothing else. It's in Task Manager taking up 100% but nothing else. If I close it and run the shortcut or exe it does the same thing. It makes the folder in Application Data but it doesn't put any files in there. I'm running XP Pro with AVG w/Firewall, Spy Sweeper, & Ad-Watch. I closed all of these things down and tried it agian but no luck. Any ideas, this is really annoying.Edit: I forgot to add that I've tried this with the 1.4 stable version and the 1.4.1 beta version.

Cracked_Tech
Nope it's AVG's firewall that comes built in to the AV and Windows Firewall is turned off.
boo
try to shutdown all your security programs (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware) andthen try to run µTorrent again and see if you still get the 100% cpu issue.
Cracked_Tech
I did that already, and it still goes to 100% and never opens or puts anything in the uTorrent folder.

Cracked_Tech
Well it seems that some part of my subconscious didn't think I had been a big enough idiot today. It was AVG's Firewall causing the problem, but it was because another user was logged on and it was asking if that user wanted to allow the program access to the internet. Obivously since I was logged on to my user I didn't see that.Anyway thanks for the help it's working now.
