Vista 64 freezing with in minutes of starting utorrent

My system started to freeze just before the last build of utorrent was release, towards the end of June. Everyone I talked to said it was bad hardware so I ran every test i could think of but nothing came up. Finally I realized it was utorrent causing the problem. I ran my Super AnitSpyware and nothing came up. So I download AVG think SASW may have missed something and AVG came up with the same, nothing. I downloaded the new build of utorrent, 1.8.3, when it came out hoping it would fix the problem but it only got worse. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but to no avail.

I thought about reverting back to a previous version but I thought I should post here first and see if someone could help me.

I have seen HijackThis logs everywhere but I want to make sure I do it right the first time so if someone could point me to a guide I can follow it and post the log for someone to evaluate.

@DreadWingKnight: First, thanks for the link. I read the guide to get this far. I got to step three and found were my utorrent.exe was located but there were no files other than the utorrent.exe.

Hope I did this correctly the first time, I don't want to be wasting peoples time.
