wymans
Ok I hope this is in the right place. I am currently using Cricket wireless broadband as my ISP and am hoping to get some help in mapping a port for the A600 modem i am using.I didn't see it on the web page that lists all the modems. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
Switeck
Wireless ISPs typically only give out LAN ip addresses, leaving their customers hopelessly firewalled.A static internet ip may be possible to get but can be very expensive. GTHK
When configuring, you want to use upload speed for your settings, then use that when running through the guides in Switecks signature. Although, since you're on a WISP, that may not be enough.
flawed
FYI- cricket BB has a 5gig limit, after that it throttles your connection down. (im on cricket BB now) what are the speeds throttled down to?? I have no clue. My bittorrent/utorrent wont connect worth crap right now, and it was running fast a day ago. I would assume I was throttled after reaching 5gig. Dont know if they count up/down or both. I will do some more investigating after the 17th, my billing date. meanwhile, I'll run thru all the tags in Switecks sig, see if that does anything for me. I also have the a600 modem, it was working fine not 24 hours ago.my current tests:Test now running..........Download Speed: 595kbits/secUpload Speed: 743kbits/secFinished.Test now running..........Download Speed: 436kbits/secUpload Speed: 732kbits/secFinished.Test now running..........Download Speed: 565kbits/secUpload Speed: 793kbits/secFinished.Test now running..........Download Speed: 480kbits/secUpload Speed: 523kbits/secFinished.so im setting UL speed in utorrent to xx/640kthe firewall is setwe shall see..... silentnothing
Wouldn't that be a form of false advertisement? Just wondering.
