befuddled Posted October 20, 2009 Report Share Posted October 20, 2009 As the thread name implies, I'm experiencing difficulties using uTorrent 1.8.4. When I start the program up (on a fresh reboot) it works well for about 10-20 minutes before the whole system, not just uTorrent, begins to stutter and inevitably freeze up. I can usually ctrl alt dlt out of it, but if I restart the program the I run into the same problem almost immediately. The only way to ensure that it works at all is to do a complete reboot of the system, but then again I'm limited to about a 20 minute window.Things I've tried: double checked uTorrent program settings are correct, uninstalling / disabling antivirus and firewall, disabled windows search indexer, set uTorrent affinity to a single core. I'd be grateful if someone could help me out here. moogly Posted October 20, 2009 Report Share Posted October 20, 2009 ZoneAlarm Client, it's known to be a buggy firewall with p2p applications, especially with Vista.
