Ta713 Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Get "Unable to save .torrent to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\BitTorrent\filename.torrent' " - what have I done wrong in set up - it shows the correct folder destination but will not download. Thanks for any help, Ta713
Ultima Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Rather likely to be a UAC/permissions related issue. Is settings.dat in that folder? Or did you set that folder to be the .torrent file storage directory?
mikeydsiu97 Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 I'm having the same problem, when trying to download it comes up with an error saying "Unable to save .torrent" to the location on my hard drive. I just updated to uTorrent 1.8.5 and did not have this problem with the previous version. I have tried changing the location of my download and that did not work. When I go into Preferences/General, the the Associate with magnet urls is not grayed out, but when I click on it, it goes gray, but come back immediately after exiting and checking it again. Could this be my problem?
