tech_burn
utorrent 1.8.5 stopped working for me around a month ago and I never bothered to try to fix it until recently. I had to add a nod32 IMON exception just to keep it from freezing and now when I try to download anything at all, the logger gives me these errors:[2009-11-24 07:39:32] TCP port bind failed 0.0.0.0:35178: (10038) An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. [2009-11-24 07:39:32] UDP port bind failed 0.0.0.0:35178: (10038) An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. [2009-11-24 07:39:32] UDP setsockopt(SO_RCVBUF, 2097152) failed: 10038[2009-11-24 07:39:32] UDP setsockopt(SO_SNDBUF, 2097152) failed: 10038[2009-11-24 07:39:32] UDP port bind failed [::]:35178: (10038) An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. My ports are forwarded and utorrent is the only application giving me this error.I don't have a virus or any malware.Any help is appreciated. Switeck
That looks like UPnP and/or NAT-PMP failures in uTorrent. Are those enabled in uTorrent under preferences, connection?
tech_burn
Yes those are both enabled. To add complexity to the problem, I tried using the Bittorent app and it does the same thing.
GTHK
Tried removing all the rules in NOD32 and creating brand new ones? Not sure but that might be caused by firewall software... in advanced settings do the two net.bind* settings have a "*" next to them?
tech_burn
I'm pretty sure it isn't nod32 that's causing the errors. I also don't see two net.bind settings in advanced settings. I've got a net.bind_ip setting that has no value attached.
GTHK
net.outgoing_ipWouldn't hurt to try recreating all the rules.
