hong999
i got a Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS router, since last week ago, when i download using utorrent, the speed is greatly reduced. after that i log in to the router, i just realise there is some unknow mac address user is using my Wi-Fi connection. But i cant track who is the person due to the "active client" that shows the ip and mac address, it has a "host name" to show what is the pc name, example: james-pc, but my router just shows ***.... <<< the star, it make me feel irritating.anyone know to configure this router? i wan to know the read the actual "host name" but not *** in order to know who is using the connection and kick them out. but sometime my housemate is using, so i don't wish to kick the wrong person...any solution? router model is Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS, firm version is DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/21/09) std... DreadWingKnight
Just do wireless mac filtering and block them or change your encryption settings to something secure..
