Enras
Regarding Project Falcon; What is the reasoning behind using the DivX format for streaming video files via torrents? Is there a format that supports MKV files? Currently, the MKV format (matroska video), is becoming the standard for 720p video. With uTorrent being the leader in torrents, and highly regarded for being an open source pioneer, would it not be a benefit to use a streaming format that supports not only this file type, but the majority of 'high definition' torrents?-Enras
Ultima
It's just using the DivX web player by default. It's not using DivX as the video codec.
rnr
The newest divx web player has support for MKV, so I'm sure they'll support the divx web player with MKV at some point. Also utorrent isn't open source.
Firon
The new DivX web player doesn't work with the way we stream right now, but we are talking with DivX to get it to work.
