DreadWingKnight
Are you trying to connect from behind the same internet connection?

DreadWingKnight
From the looks of things, you may have missed a step in the port forwarding process. What is the model of the router that is actually doing the port forwarding?
arjunking
i checked up the port by an online website, port checker tool by portforward.com and even in utorrent there is a green signal.the dsl router is beetel 110tc1.in order to prevent double nat i disabled the dhcp server on wrt54g. is this ok?the dsl is on 192.168.1.1and wrt54g on 192.168.1.2and wap54g on 192.168.1.254i have forwarded port on dsl router and it has upnp enabled. DreadWingKnight
connected the dsl router to wan port , not the internet port cause it doesnt work on internet portThe 54G only has an internet (wan) port and 4 numbered ports. If you connected your modem to the internet port on the 54G, you did it wrong. You require 3rd party firmware (doesn't work on all versions of the 54G) to get it to work in the manner you're trying to and connecting to the internet port. DreadWingKnight
What is the range of IPs that your modem gives out? When you tried bridging the modem, did you try configuring your WRT54G to handle the PPPoE authentication and port forwarding? arjunking
it shows the starting ip is 192.168.1.2and ip pool count is 253 so i guess it means from 2 to 254.didnt try port forwarding when connecting in bridge mode as wasnt able to get internet work with pppoe authentication. DreadWingKnight
Ok, you might need to change the starting IP and pool count to give yourself room for the static IP addresses.
arjunking
doesnt providing a static ip in ip setting of the adapter of my computer provide me with a static ip?
DreadWingKnight
Yes, but your modem may refuse to forward to IP addresses within its dhcp range regardless.
