wxrocks
I am looking for someone to help me with a "typical" setup for file storage locations and setups to make sure I am being a good community member. I would like to have a spot where I can leave certain torrents all of the time, while others I would like to eventually move out of upload world to avoid eating too much of my bandwidth. I am wondering where I should be storing the torrent files, the actual files, how to tell BitTorrent where they are, and what to do when I want to move them.I've looked at some of the guides out there, but none of them tell me how to really do this well (nor do they explain what to do if you've already moved the files and would now once again like to make them available for upload).Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
mcaspi
If you want to be a good community member just keep uTorrent running.
wxrocks
So if I decide to move the files from the download file, how do I tell uTorrent that I I moved the files to a different spot?
moogly
If you move the entire torrent, just stop the torrent job, right click and Advanced > Set Download Location. If you move only few files from a multifiles torrent, stop the torrent job, click on the Files tab, right click and Relocate. (filename and path can be changed).Force a recheck if need be.
