pipotzel
Since I have utorrent on win7 x64 I always get the error "Access is denied" when trying to download anything.P.S. I use the same utorrent.exe for 2 operationg systems(XP and win7). When I'm in xp it works perfect of course, but when I run win7 I get acces is denied error when trying to download something. For the downloads to work I always have to right click on utorrent.exe and to run it as administrator. Please if you can give me any advices or fix this bug, I would realy appreciate .P.S. I have the latest version of course... 2.0.4 build 22150
DreadWingKnight
Did you check the security properties on your downloads folder to make sure that your win7 user account has write access as well?
pipotzel
Of course it has write access.... I use the same download folder on both XP and win7And my win7 user account is administrator... it has no restrictions
DreadWingKnight
Please double-check. User account ids aren't identical between the two.And Windows 7 won't let you log on to the account named Administrator normally.
pipotzel
No no no. I ment my user account has administrator rights not that it's named administrator... it's named Paul
DreadWingKnight
Then you DEFINITELY have to check because access permissions are set with a generated user code and not general by name.
pipotzel
I haven't completly understood what exactly should I check but I have all the permissions in the "F:\downloads" folder where I donwload all and I know that because I can do anything to the files inside that folder and I can copy any file in there and everything works ok beside utorrent.
