How to update utorrent 2.2 to the latest build

I am using utorrent 2.2 (build 23703)

I have noticed that utorrent 2.2 (build 24402) is available

However, when running utorrent, when I use 'Check for Updates' it reports that 'There is no new version available at this time'

So how do I update my utorrent to build 24402

You need to wait for. Routine updates are not automatic when they are released, only after few days or weeks (to fix potential new bugs).

but you can update manually by replacing the old utorrent.exe by the new one.

The new 2.2. builds are not available for auto-update. They are released solely for new torrent promos. The current one is Beyond the Game.

I am surprised that the new 2.2. builds are not available for auto-update because the utorrent web site has 2.2 build 24402 listed as the latest stable version and is available to download.

So new utorrent users get this latest build.
