ryoden
I previously used a belkin for 4 years but it died yesterday and I installed the Netgear WGR614v9 that came from Virgin.Previously I have used utorrent with no problems with the belkin, green all the way.I managed to log into the Netgear WGR614 v9 router and set up port forwarding.I have a static IP address on my PC as I was using with the Belkin although I have altered it slightly.the Netgear router is using:Internet IP Address: Get Dynamically From ISPDomain Name Server (DNS) Address: Get Automatically From ISPRouter MAC Address: Use Default AddressI currently have a webstar virgin modem.I am using Utorrent v 1.8.1.With the netgear the port forwarding is not working, the port reads as stealthed when checked.Port checker says the port isnt open, it can ping my router and my external ip address is the dynamic ip address i think. Can anyone suggest why? It's a long time since i set this sort of thing up but usually port forwarding is not an issue. I have a Comodo firewall active but i dont think thats a problem since I had that previously with no issue.
